Your address book, hands-free

Chalie connects to your CardDAV address book and can look up any contact by name. Phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, job titles, company names — all available through natural language.

Getting started:

• “What’s Sarah’s phone number?”
• “What’s the email address for James at Acme Corp?”
• “Do I have a number for Dr. Martinez?”

Finding contact details

You can ask about specific fields or let Chalie surface everything it knows about a person:

• “What’s Maria’s email?”
• “What company does Tom work for?”
• “Give me all the contact details for Priya Sharma.”
• “What’s the address for my dentist?”

If multiple contacts share the same first name, Chalie will ask you to clarify.

Using contacts with other abilities

Contacts works best when combined with email and calendar:

• “Send an email to James” — Chalie looks up James’s email address automatically
• “Call my contact at Acme Corp about the invoice” — surfaces their phone number
• “Schedule a meeting with Dr. Chen next Thursday” — finds their calendar details if available

Supported address book servers

Chalie works with any CardDAV-compatible server. This includes Google Contacts (via CardDAV), Apple iCloud Contacts, Fastmail, and self-hosted options like Radicale or Nextcloud Contacts.

Privacy

Your contact data is stored on your device and synced directly from your address book server. Chalie never uploads contact information to any external service.
