Read, search, and send emails through Chalie using natural language.
Email at your command
Chalie connects directly to your email account over IMAP and SMTP. You can read messages, search your inbox, reply to threads, and send new emails — all through conversation.
Getting started:
- “Do I have any unread emails?”
- “Show me emails from my boss from this week.”
- “Any emails about the project proposal?”
Reading email
Chalie reads and summarises emails for you. Ask about individual messages or a group:
- “What does the latest email from Alex say?”
- “Summarise the thread with the legal team.”
- “Read me the most recent email from noreply@amazon.com.”
Chalie will give you the key information — sender, subject, and a plain-language summary — rather than dumping the raw HTML at you.
Searching your inbox
Natural language search works well across all your mail:
- “Find emails about the conference in June.”
- “Do I have any unread messages from clients?”
- “Show me emails I haven’t replied to from last week.”
- “Any emails with attachments from finance?”
Replying and forwarding
Chalie can draft and send replies on your behalf. It will show you what it’s about to send and ask you to confirm before anything goes out.
- “Reply to Mark’s email and say I’ll call him tomorrow morning.”
- “Forward the invoice from Acme to our accountant.”
- “Reply to all and let everyone know the meeting is moved to 3pm.”
Chalie includes the original email in replies and forwards, exactly as you’d expect from a normal email client.
Sending new emails
You can compose and send fresh emails too:
- “Send an email to jamie@example.com and let her know the package shipped.”
- “Email my team and ask if anyone can cover Friday’s shift.”
Chalie will confirm the recipient, subject, and body before sending.
Privacy note
Your email credentials are stored locally on your machine. Chalie communicates directly with your mail server — nothing passes through a third-party service. Chalie will always ask for confirmation before sending any message.
