Calendar Setup

How Chalie gets access to your calendar.

Connecting your calendar

There is no separate Calendar connection to configure. Chalie reaches your calendar through the same account you connect for email under Capabilities in the Brain sidebar. Once that account is connected, your calendar becomes available automatically.

Step by step

  1. Open the Brain dashboard (the brain icon in the top-right corner)
  2. Go to Capabilities in the Brain sidebar
  3. Find the Mail capability and click Setup
  4. Enter your Email Address and an App Password, then click Connect

See the Email Setup guide for full details on generating an app password. Connecting your account there is all that’s needed for Chalie to read and manage your calendar.

What Chalie can do with your calendar

  • Check your schedule — ask what’s coming up today, this week, or any date range
  • Find free time — ask when you’re available
  • Create events — add a new appointment, meeting, or any event directly to your calendar
  • Update events — reschedule or change details on events that already exist (for example, “move my 2pm meeting to 3pm”)
  • Delete events — remove an event by name; Chalie asks you to confirm which one if there’s any ambiguity

Chalie confirms the details before making any change.

Troubleshooting

  • No events showing — confirm your account is connected under Capabilities in the Brain sidebar; calendar access depends on that connection
  • Authentication problems — re-check your app password in the Mail setup; calendar uses the same credentials as email
