Manage Skills
Enable, disable, and organise curated and custom skills from the Brain interface.
The Skills page in the Brain
Open the Brain dashboard and select Skills in the sidebar. You’ll see two sections:
- My Skills — skills you’ve created yourself, listed first
- Curated Skills — skills shipped with Chalie, maintained by the Chalie team
Each card shows the skill’s title, what it’s used for, its version number, its tags, and its current enabled/disabled state. The New Skill button at the top opens a form to create your own.
Enabling and disabling skills
Toggle any skill on or off. Disabled skills are excluded from search results — Chalie won’t suggest or follow them until you re-enable them.
This is a good way to narrow Chalie’s focus. If you never do financial analysis, disabling the relevant skills keeps the results relevant when Chalie looks for a playbook to follow.
Curated vs. user-created
Curated skills can be enabled or disabled but not edited or deleted. They’re updated automatically when Chalie is updated. To adapt a curated skill for your needs, ask Chalie to create a new skill that follows the same approach — your version lives in My Skills and you control it entirely.
User-created skills can be edited, deleted, enabled, or disabled. You have full control over their content and behaviour.
Viewing skill details
Click any skill card to see its full content — the step-by-step procedure, the tools it references, its tags, and its version history. To edit a user-created skill, ask Chalie in conversation (e.g. “Edit my Morning Briefing skill to also check the news”).
Keeping things tidy
As your library grows, use the search bar on the Skills page to filter by title or tag. Your skills stay at the top under My Skills, with Curated Skills below.
Disabling playbooks you never use keeps Chalie’s results sharp and reduces the chance of the wrong skill being matched to your request.
