Manage Skills

Enable, disable, and organise curated and custom skills from the Brain interface.

The Skills tab in the Brain

Open the Brain panel and switch to the Skills tab. You’ll see two sections:

  • Curated — skills shipped with Chalie, maintained by the Chalie team
  • Your Skills — skills you’ve created yourself

Each skill card shows its title, a short description of what it’s used for, its version number, and whether it’s currently enabled or disabled.

Enabling and disabling skills

Toggle any skill on or off. Disabled skills are excluded from search results — Chalie won’t suggest or follow them until you re-enable them.

This is useful when you want to narrow Chalie’s focus. For example, if you never do financial analysis, you can disable the Financial Analysis and SaaS Metrics Coach skills to keep results relevant.

Curated vs. user-created

Curated skills can be enabled or disabled but not edited or deleted. They’re updated automatically when Chalie is updated.

User-created skills can be edited, deleted, enabled, or disabled. You have full control over their content and behaviour.

Viewing skill details

Click any skill card to see its full content — the step-by-step procedure, the tools it references, its tags, and its version history. For user-created skills, you can edit the procedure directly from this view.

Keeping things tidy

If your skill library grows large, use the search bar in the Skills tab to filter by title or tag. Skills are sorted alphabetically within each section (curated first, then user-created).

Disabling skills you don’t use keeps Chalie’s search results focused and reduces the chance of a wrong playbook being matched to your request.
