UX Research

Generating user personas from research data, creating journey maps, planning usability tests, and synthesizing research findings.

What it does

Generating user personas from research data, creating journey maps, planning usability tests, and synthesizing research findings.

Procedure

When this skill is activated, Chalie follows these steps:

  1. Use memory to recall any prior user research, personas, or journey maps already created.
  2. Use memory to recall any prior research artifacts, then identify the research task: persona generation, journey mapping, usability test planning, or research synthesis.
  3. For persona generation, collect user data inputs (demographics, usage frequency, features used, device, context, tech proficiency, pain points) and use code_eval to run clustering analysis and produce research-backed personas.
  4. For journey mapping, use document to identify the user goal, list every touchpoint and step in sequence, and annotate each with: what the user thinks, feels, and does — plus friction points and opportunities.
  5. For usability test planning, define the tasks to test, recruit criteria, success metrics, and use code_eval to calculate the required sample size given desired statistical confidence.
  6. For research synthesis, use document to group raw findings by theme, connect themes to user needs, score each theme by frequency and severity, and produce a prioritized opportunity list.
  7. Use document to translate research findings into specific design recommendations tied to evidence, not opinion.
  8. Use document to save personas, journey maps, test plans, and synthesis reports — use memory to store key user insights for future product decisions.
