What it does

Find out what people are saying about a topic right now — trends, sentiment, problems, or opportunities.

Procedure

When this skill is activated, Chalie follows these steps:

  1. Use memory to recall any previously tracked topics, then ask the user to specify the topic precisely (push back if too vague, e.g. “AI” — ask for a narrower angle).
  2. Use memory to check for a stored angle preference, then ask which angle matters most: trend, sentiment, problems, opportunities, or comparison (default: trend).
  3. Use memory to check for a stored time window preference, then ask: 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 days (default: 30 days).
  4. Use the search tool to find recent web coverage and discussion for the topic within the time window.
  5. Use the news tool to find recent news articles about the topic within the time window.
  6. Use the search tool again with a more specific query targeting pain points or complaints about the topic.
  7. Use document to synthesize findings into a briefing with: TL;DR (2–3 sentences), key signals from search/news, notable pain points or enthusiasm, and cross-source patterns.
  8. Store the summary in memory if the user wants to track this topic over time.
