What it does

Preparing roadmap narratives, release notes, changelogs, and stakeholder updates tailored for executives, engineering teams, and customers.

Procedure

When this skill is activated, Chalie follows these steps:

  1. Use memory to recall the product’s current roadmap, recent releases, and any prior stakeholder communication preferences.
  2. Identify the audience and format needed — board/executive, engineering, or customer — and select the appropriate roadmap format (Now/Next/Later, Timeline, or Theme-based), then open document to draft.
  3. For release notes, use document to lead with user value not implementation details, group by user workflows, and call out migration or behaviour changes explicitly.
  4. For feature announcements, use document to structure as: problem context, what changed, who it benefits, and what to do next.
  5. For board or executive updates, use document to focus on progress against strategic goals, trade-offs made, and decisions required — not feature lists.
  6. Use memory to store the finalized communication so future updates reference consistent framing and audience priors.
  7. Present the draft for review and refine in document based on feedback.
  8. Use email to distribute the finalized communication if sending directly to stakeholders.
