What it does

Deep competitor analysis synthesizing pricing, reviews, job postings, and SEO signals into structured intelligence with feature matrices and battlecards.

Procedure

When this skill is activated, Chalie follows these steps:

  1. Use memory to recall any prior competitive research already stored for this space.
  2. Confirm with the user the 2 to 4 competitors to analyze and which is the primary focus — then open document to capture the research as it builds.
  3. Use read to extract pricing tiers, feature lists, primary messaging, case study logos, and trust signals from each competitor’s website.
  4. Use search to find app store reviews and customer feedback, categorizing them as praise, feature requests, bugs, or UX complaints.
  5. Use search to analyze job posting signals for each competitor: engineering volume, tech stack mentions, sales-to-CS ratio, and any data or compliance roles indicating upcoming moves.
  6. Use news to surface recent funding rounds, partnership announcements, and product launches for each competitor.
  7. Use document to produce structured output: a scored feature comparison matrix across key dimensions, a SWOT per competitor, a pricing model breakdown, and a positioning map.
  8. Generate an action plan with quick wins (exploit competitor weaknesses immediately), medium-term gaps to close, and strategic positioning recommendations — then use document to save everything.
