Brain Dump Capture

Organize a chaotic stream of mixed thoughts, tasks, and ideas into a clean actionable structure.

What it does

Organize a chaotic stream of mixed thoughts, tasks, and ideas into a clean actionable structure.

Procedure

When this skill is activated, Chalie follows these steps:

  1. Check memory for any prior brain dumps or recurring themes, then accept the user’s brain dump immediately — do not ask questions upfront; start organizing right away.
  2. Ask at most one clarifying question mid-organization only if a single item is genuinely ambiguous between task and project — use memory to resolve ambiguity silently if prior context covers it.
  3. Use document to group items into: Projects/Ideas (with sub-components and open questions embedded), Tasks (flat action list in imperative voice), and Connections (how items relate to each other).
  4. For 5 or fewer unrelated items, skip the full structure and use list for a simple “What I heard” list instead.
  5. Save recurring projects or ideas to memory so they persist across sessions.
  6. Add any time-sensitive tasks as reminders using the schedule tool if the user has mentioned deadlines.
  7. Add any todo/shopping items to list if they fit an existing list.
  8. Present concrete next-step offers from document (each specifying what would be produced and where it would go) and ask the user which to tackle first.
