Comprehensive structured problem analysis covering background, root cause, countermeasures, and follow-up plan.
What it does
Comprehensive structured problem analysis covering background, root cause, countermeasures, and follow-up plan.
Procedure
When this skill is activated, Chalie follows these steps:
- Use
memoryto recall any prior context or past attempts related to the problem. - Establish the background section: capture why this problem matters, who it affects, and its business or personal impact — use
searchto verify any facts or figures cited. - Use
memoryto surface the current condition: record facts, data points, and examples of what is actually happening now. - Define the goal or target using
documentas scratch space: specify what success looks like in measurable, time-bound terms. - Apply 5 Whys or Fishbone thinking to identify the fundamental root cause, not just symptoms — use
searchto validate hypotheses against known patterns or documentation. - Record countermeasures with
document: list specific actions that address the root cause directly, categorised by timeframe (immediate, short-term, long-term). - Note the implementation plan inline in
document: specify who does what by when, including dependencies and milestones. - Use
documentto save the completed A3 analysis, including success metrics, monitoring approach, and review dates to verify the fix holds.
